Architect
Vignesh has over 14 years of diverse architectural and academic
experience internationally.
In his current role as an Associate at PTA Architecture in
Melbourne, he is working on projects ranging from residential, institutional
and master planning in both urban and regional environments in Victoria. The
formative years of his career were focused on gaining experience in
community-oriented design across a variety of architectural endeavours spanning
in India, France, Australia and Switzerland.
He has been a Studio Manager at the Charles Correa
Foundation in Goa and was involved with establishing the operational framework
of the foundation and other citizen-centric master planning projects in and
around Panjim. He has worked with Architect Bernard Kohn in La manufacture des
paysages, a participatory citizen’s planning and action group in the south of
France in a publication to communicate the participatory tools that the
association has been evolving since its conception.
He has strong connections to the academic world and has
previously worked as a visiting faculty at CEPT Ahmedabad and Deakin University
Geelong. His guru and mentor is Prof. Neelkanth Chhaya with whom he has worked
extensively in conceptualising the inter-disciplinary CEPT Interactive Studio
along with Bernard Kohn during his time at CEPT.
He is a character who loves to operate on the fringe of
architecture; he is interested in manual wood-working & joinery and is
currently learning gaming design & coding for developing
architectural-theme based games online for cross platforms.
