Shilpa Mevada is a practicing architect based in Ahmedabad, India.

Temporal lifestyles, work patterns, and climate are constantly influencing her approach to shaping architecture and built environment. During her time at Tatiana Bilbao Estudio (Mexico City, DF) she worked as a Senior architect on Hunters Point Master Plan in San Francisco, USA; Housing in collaboration with HHF Architects in Lausanne, Switzerland; Social housing in Ocoyoacac, Mexico; and Ways of Life, Hasse, Germany. In addition to architectural manifestations, she has collaborated on the various exhibitions of the studio (Not) Another – Tower at Chicago Architecture Biennial 2017-18; Perspectivas at Museum of Contemporary Art Monterrey, México 2017; and has creatively contributed to The Architect’s Studio – Tatiana Bilbao at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Copenhagen 2019-20.

Previously, she worked with Ar. Neelkanth Chhaya in India as a Project Architect on the extension and addition of facilities at Sabarmati Ashram, Ahmedabad. In 2011, with 5 friends, she was awarded as one of five winners of SPIRETEC International Competition, Greater Noida. She is a Bachelor of Architecture from CEPT University in Ahmedabad.
